Replacement program

Replace an existing unit

A discontinued product line or an extended lead time is an opportunity to put a better instrument on the bench. Send Evolve Sensing the details of the spectrometer in use today, and an engineer will review the requirement and confirm whether an equivalent configuration is available, and where a direct equivalent does not exist.

Evolve does not use a lookup table for replacements. Two instruments with the same wavelength range can behave differently in a given application, and the requirement is reviewed by an engineer who has worked with these benches.

The migration guide describes what the mapping involves.

  • Matching footprint and interface. Standard form factors, SMA-905 optical input and 5 V USB power.
  • Documented SDK. A documented API with multi-language bindings.
  • Evaluation unit before purchase. Tested in your process before a purchase order.
  • Clear recommendation. Where no equivalent exists, Evolve says so rather than proposing a near match.

Current instrument details

Every field below is optional except the email address. Send the details available and an engineer will ask about the rest. A photograph of the instrument label is often the fastest option: send it to sales@evolve-sensing.com.

Or call +1 425-969-8782.

An engineer reads each request and replies, typically within one business day. Evolve Sensing does not sell or share contact details. See the Privacy Policy.

What happens next

1

Submit the instrument details

Model number, or a photograph of the label, plus a description of the measurement.

2

Engineering comparison

Range, resolution, detector, connector, footprint and power, including any specification where the Evolve unit differs.

3

Evaluation unit

Tested on your bench, with the SDK mapped to the calls your software already makes.

4

Transition

Volume supply, ISO 9001 manufacture and continuing engineering support.
